Music on the Rocks 2015, Sponsored by Heineken and Dos Equis, is our annual weekend-long music festival Friday through Sunday, September 25-27, 2015. This event blends outstanding music by local and regional musicians, fantastic food and beverages, art in the meadow and an outdoor, alpine venue at the foot of our mountain.

Music on the Rocks 2015, Sponsored by Heineken and Dos Equis, takes place at Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort, located at 5224 Highway 518, just 20 miles southeast of Taos and two hours north of Albuquerque. For directions, please click here.
We suggest you bring along chairs, blankets, umbrellas (shows happen rain or shine) and a warm layer (mountain temperatures are expected to be in the mid-70's).

Out of Nowhere's powerful six-piece band features horns, vocals and rhythm. Based out of Taos, this group covers an eclectic mix of danceable tunes spanning a variety of decades and genres, including soul, jazz, swing, blues, funk and Latin.

Local singer/songwriter Jenne McIntosh brings her distinctive lyrical blues sound to our festival. Jenne McIntosh has performed opened on side stages for Yanni, Travis Tritt and Olivia Newton John. "Variety is the spice of life, and there's no reason to pigeonhole one's self into a single genre," says McIntosh. "I love to experiment with music." Visit Jenne McIntosh's website.
MOTR is happy to have Winter Pass, Morel & Berry Quartet in their inaugural performance on our festival stage.
MOTR alumni Main Street Garage makes their fifth appearance on the Sipapu stage for Music on the Rocks 2015. Based out of Boulder, CO, this group is a festival favorite and known for their Pop/Rock sound and very danceable style.
Pete's unique songwriting style is fueled by his nearly lifelong study of classical guitar, and his love of Rock, Blues, Folk, Jazz, Country, Bluegrass and World Music. His band is an Acoustic/Electric group that showcases infectious grooves, playful improvisations and creative interpretations of cover songs. Visit Pete Giuliani's website.
Rooted in Blues and Funk, Bear Spears is a singer/songwriter who adeptly weaves Reggae, Calypso, Jazz, Hip Hop and West African music into his compositions and performances. He is proficient in numerous instruments, including guitar, bass, drums, organ and synth. Bear's vocals are soulful and his lyrics deep and often socially-inspired. Visit Bear Spears Band online.
Songwriter Allen Lyttle and Steady Rollers return to our stage for their fourth festival appearance. Named after a song by bluesman Robert Johnson, the band plays a mix of original and cover songs straddling musical genres, with an emphasis on roots music, strong thythms, lively dance tunes and songs that tell a good story. Six-piece band Last to Know blends world rhythms with jam-band passion, while muddying the lines between Americana, Disco, Funk and Bluegrass. Based in Taos, New Mexico, LTK has played the Main Stage at the Taos Solar Music Festival, along with Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Harry Belafonte, String Cheese Incident and Los Lobos, among others.
