The Sangre De Cristo Mountains of New Mexico offer unbelievable inspiration. Located in the heart of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains is Sipapu Resort on State Highway 518 and the Rio Pueblo River southeast of Taos. We are blessed with outstanding natural light, breathtaking skies, beautiful mountain views and the peace and solitude of the Rio Pueblo River.
Professional watercolor artist Lynn McLain's teaching objectives include sharing his artistic gift, imparting a better understanding of drawing, design, seeing subject matter, use and confidence of the watercolor medium, and how to have fun painting with watercolor.
Classes are limited to 18 students, however, the classes tend to be smaller. Since learning to paint is a progress, beginners to advanced are welcome.
The studio for the classes is located in the lodge at Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort. All instruction takes place at Sipapu, and we also explore some of the best restaurants and art galleries in the area.
Cost for the workshop is $300. This includes tuition and instruction. Students are responsible for their own lodging, food and supplies (a supply list is provided upon registration).
