Music on the Rocks is an all-day music festival starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, that blends outstanding music by local and regional musicians, fantastic food and beverages, art in the meadow and an outdoor, alpine venue at the foot of our mountain.
A limited amount of tickets for the Pabst-Sierra Nevada VIP Tent will be available at the door on August 24. These seats will offer premium viewing, covered seating, exclusive food options and more. Tickets cost just $25 and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only. Please contact

JUST ANNOUNCED: Pawn Drive will perform a special acousitc performance on the patio during the evening of Friday, August 23! Consider it a warm-up session for Saturday's concerts. This performance is FREE and takes place on Sipapu's patio.

Award-winning singer and songwriter Sean Healen is known for being a rock, folk and blues virtuoso. With music and lyrics reminiscent of Leonard Cohen and a style at once intricate and eloquent, Sean is rapidly achieving the national stage. A long time resident of New Mexico, his recent album "Foodplain" was named Best Rock CD 2009 at the New Mexico Music Awards.
MOTR alumni Main Street Garage will make their fourth consecutive appearance on the Sipapu stage for Music on the Rocks 2013. Based out of Boulder, Colorado, this group is a festival favorite and known for their Pop/Rock sound and very dance-able style.
Members of Selsun Blue and the Rivet Gang join forces to resurrect Pawn Drive. Rooted in the world of Folk and Americana with a dusting of grit und drang. This year marks Pawn Drive's debut at MOTR.
Jeronimo, a repatriated Santa Fe native, along with Scotty Dee and Jeff who form the backbone of this Rock/Blues band, is new to the Santa Fe music scene having originated in Dallas and now based in Santa Fe. Rock-n-Roll with Roots-Blues in the mix; Soulful slide & other guitars, driving bass lines, fat drums for beats.
Musician/Songwriter Eric George started playing music on stage in his family’s band when he was ten years old in Alba, Texas. Since then he's held residency at Buddy Guys Legends in Chicago, did a stent with rocker Buddy Miles and has toured nationally and internationally with various Nashville recording artists. His clear, rich, impassioned voice calls out for kindness, understanding and empowerment for all of mankind. His lyrics address social, environmental and political issues. Following his recent trip around the world, folk artist Prudy Dimas of Durango, Colo., will return to the MOTR stage for his second performance at the Sipapu festival. Prudy has performed live throughout New Mexico; most notably, he recently opened for nationally-acclaimed musician, Joe Pug.
Named after a song by bluesman Robert Johnson and playing since 1987, the Steady Rollers have lived up to their name. Songwriter Allen Lytle and current members Scott Leherissey, Weto Malisow, Regal Walk and Richard Padbert play a mix of original and cover songs straddling genres with an emphasis on roots music, strong rhythms, lively dance tunes and songs that tell a good story. This year marks the second year this northern New Mexico group has performed at MOTR.
Local songwriter and artist Jenne McIntosh will return to the MOTR stage in 2013 with her distinctive lyrical blues sound. She's performed everywhere, from headlining friend's backyard parties to opening on side stages for for Yanni, Travis Tritt and Olivia Newton John. "Variety is the spice of life and there's no reason to pigeonhole one's self into a single genre. I love to experiment with music."
